Clarity and color steadily improving

With the removal of 11,500 ponds of decaying vegetation, a record harvest, Fresh Pond is now moving toward increased visibility and clarity. The green tint is steadily diminishing and pond may begin to feel fresh again.

With post-harvest sampling at the end of this week, and lab testing, we will begin to have a picture of the impact of this year’s short term cleanup work.

Electric lines will soon be going in for the pilot phase of the long term remediation, to begin next spring.
